Thanks for your calls. Some of you want to get together to talk about what we can do about the decisions being made to cut funding to our early childhood programs, schools and services. Good idea! Let's plan on Wednesday, March 31 at Miller's Pub (134 S Wabash Ave, near Adams & Wabash) at 5:00 p.m.

March 24, 2010 -- Some media outlets are reporting that ALL Chicago preschools will close due to budget shortfalls.

While there will be some cuts due to the $34 million shortfall for CPS, not all preschools will shut down. CPS principals will receive their budgets on Monday. At that time, we will know which preschools will be affected.
