Who can be a Trainer? Coach? Consultant? Mentor?

This day is for individuals who design, provide, evaluate or fund professional development.

What are the characteristics of a competent professional development provider? What outcomes should we expect to achieve through each professional develop ment approach? Join us for a day of roundtable discussions to investigate the various roles and begin to identify core capabilities of a competent provider of professional development. Sarah LeMoine of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and Camille Catlett of the National Professional Development Center on Inclusion at the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute and others will share the national trends and facilitate discussions as we work to craft descriptions that consider local concerns and work best for the state of Illinois.
