Earning Professional Credits at Opening Minds
You can earn the following professional credits at Opening Minds:
- Eligibility to apply and/or achieve a TIER/Star Level for Illinois' Quality Rating System
- Continuing Professional Development Units (CPDUs)
- Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Licensed Social Workers
- Early Intervention Credits
- Child Care In-Service Training Certificates
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Hours
Be sure to document the workshops you attend at Opening Minds by asking each presenter to stamp your Certificate of Attendance. You will use this Certificate as proof of your hours for your supervisor and/or licensing agency.
How many DCFS in-service hours can I get at the conference?
You can earn up to 28.5 credit hours by attending Wednesday through Saturday:
