FY11 Budget Update: Voices' 4-Tiered Approach
March 5, 2010--Breaking news at today's Voices for Illinois Children Kids Count Symposium -- early childhood advocates are asking for support in working to solve budget woes and structural deficit in the following ways:
- Advocate for a continuation of federal funding
- Work on cuts and reforms
- Ask for revenue enhancements
- Borrow
We need a balanced approach, and a combination of strategies to solve our state's problem.
