Educational Requirements:
BA Social Work or related field (coursework and/or experience with an emphasis on families with young children preferred).
Job Description:
Under the direction of the program director and in collaboration with the CPS Community Partnership Program, provide support services appropriate to at-risk families with children 0-3. FSS would be required to provide services in both the child care center and the family home.
FSS will work with the families on intake and assist them the completion of the ASQ-SE. Discuss areas of concern and develop a support system. Prepare an IFSP for each family enrolled. Serve as a resource to families and staff. Encourage maximum involvement of parents in the program. Provide, as appropriate, supportive help, advocacy and case management to individuals and families in coping with environment and interpersonal relationship issues.
FSS will work within contract, grant and program requirements including meeting timelines and reporting requirements. FSS will also identify and develop a list of community resource partners.
